Learning and succeeding in new postures helps children build up their self-esteem. Learning/perfecting new postures takes time, which teaches children the importance of patience and constant effort. .

The relaxation and breathing techniques taught in yoga enable children to better manage their emotions and learn to calm down in the face of stress.

Yoga exercises promote better posture by strengthening back and trunk muscles, which is particularly beneficial for growing children.
